Thackery eastern regional sales director for its newest office serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Mr. Thackery will be responsible for managing all sales and marketing initiatives within the mid-Atlantic region, including Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, and Virginia’s Tidewater locale. |

With an educational background in engineering, Mr. Thackery’s professional experience spans more than 30 years in the telecommunications and defense electronics industries. In his new role with UTDI, Mr. Thackery seeks to equip public and private sector clients with technology designed to improve business communications. “Companies are discovering the tremendous leverage in merging separate voice and data networks, along with the powerful new capabilities that VOIP applications deliver for better serving their customers. Prior to joining UTDI, Mr. Thackery served in a variety of active duty military, defense contractor, and telecommunications industry positions. As an employee of Avaya Inc., he supported the mid-Atlantic region as channel sales manager, guiding 32 Avaya business partners and 50 sales people. Formerly Avaya’s national business development manager, Mr. Thackery was responsible for the rollout of data and voice-over-IP telephony products to the firm’s largest national business partner.
