One challenge for the UTDi Design team was to provide business continuity. After losing all of their communications during Hurricane Wilma, Interval took steps to ensure this would not happen again. An additional benefit provided by UTDi to Interval was cost savings. Interval needed to save costs enterprise wide and connecting to their UK office via IP, taking advantage of the new licensing arrangements and cost efficient maintenance were just a few of the areas that Interval was looking at.
This customer has one of the largest call centers in South Florida. (700 agents). At their main site the customer is running Avaya Communication Manager 3.0 on the Avaya S8710 Media Server. At the second site the customer has Avaya Communication Manager 3.0 on the Avaya S8710 Media Server running in Enterprise Survivable Remote. To provide secure back up reporting the customer uses Avaya Call Management R13 in High Availability in dual locations. Best Services Routing handles sending the calls to the multiple contact centers. For their messaging needs the customer has over 800 mail boxes on Avaya Modular Messaging 2.0 using Avaya Message Store. Interval also uses Nice Call Recording to capture voice and data to enhance agent productivity and Nice Analyzer. There is also a large contact center location in the UK. The customer at that location has Avaya Communication Manager 3.0 running on an Avaya S8710 Media Server for 200 agents. Avaya Call Management System R13 provides reporting for this location. This site is connected back to the main site via IP in order to provide world wide customer service and expand their follow the sun coverage. There is a contact center in Mexico with 30 agents that adds to the expanded coverage. The Mexico location has an Avaya S8500 and is completely IP. The customer also has small sales offices and call centers in Milan, Madrid, Singapore, Finland and Germany.
Applications and services that interval International now employs include: Avaya Communications Manager 3.0, Avaya S8700 Media Server, Enterprise Survivable Remote, Avaya Call Management R13 High Availability, Best Services Routing ,Avaya S8500 Media Server, Avaya G650 Media Gateway, Modular Messaging 2.0, and Nice Call Recording.
With agents located around the world to provide follow the sun coverage; Interval International is able to provide customer service 24 X 7. The system architecture is highly reliable, with built-in fail-safes and redundancies .By connecting the Avaya S8710 Media server in the US with the one in the UK via IP the customer realizes cost savings on daily communications. Their converged network is less costly to maintain.
